Block Sale

We supply Ancaster Hard White and Ancaster Weatherbed quarry blocks to stone masonry factories throughout the country. We also supply several stone masons/contractors with the facilities to produce finished stone for their own contracts. 

Extraction Method

We use chainsaws and plug and feather techniques to extract the blocks, with no blasting whatsoever. This means the block we supply is sound, and ideal for detailed dimension stonework. 

Block Sizes

Typical block sizes for Ancaster Hard White are 1200wide x 2000long. While we can extract bed heights up to 650mm, typically they range between 350-500mm. Please let us know if you need specific sizes of Hard White and we will do our best to accommodate you. For example, we can extract blocks up to 3000mm long if required. 

Ancaster Weatherbed block sizes are typically 1200wide x 2000long with 350 – 500mm bed heights. However, we can produce Wetherbed bed heights up to 800mm and lengths up to 3000mm if required, so please let us know if you need specific sizes.

Availability

We keep stock of both Ancaster Hard White and Ancaster Weatherbed virtually all year round, with levels sometimes reaching up to 100 tonnes. This keeps lead times down as we can often supply complete projects from stock in a matter of days. Contact us to find out our current stock levels. 

We can accommodate collections with 24 hours’ notice to the quarry, just call Andy Smith on 07766 356 713 to let him know when to expect your lorry. Alternatively, feel free to come to the quarry to inspect the stock and make your own section.
